Man shot, killed on city’s northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS — A man was killed early Wednesday on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

Around 1 a.m., Indianapolis Metro police arrived to the intersection of W. 31st St. and Graceland Ave. on a report of a person shot. They located a male of unknown age with wounds consistent with gunshots.

The victim was pronounced deceased on scene.  

His death was one of several under investigation from late Tuesday into early Wednesday. A woman was shot and killed near St. Vincent Hospital around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

IMPD homicide detectives are also conducting a death investigation after three bodies were found at a property on S. Meridian Street Tuesday evening.

As of the morning of October 13, Indy’s homicide count for the year is at 217.
