Man dies after being shot multiple times on northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS (April 24, 2014) – A man has died after being shot multiple times on the northwest side Thursday afternoon.

Randall Parker, 32, had been in critical condition at IU Health Methodist Hospital. Detectives were alerted early Friday morning that he died from his injuries.

The shooting happened around 1 p.m. Thursday in the 4500 block of Rosewood Commons Way near 56th Street and Georgetown Road. Indianapolis Metropolitan police told FOX59 that a small, gray car left the scene shortly after the shooting. Police said the crime didn’t appear to be a random act of violence and believe someone specifically targeted Parker.
