Man steals money from inside Johnson County Pepsi machine

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (October 16, 2015) – The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a man who broke into a Pepsi machine, and stole all the money in it.

Deputies responded to 742 S Nineveh Rd in Nineveh Friday around 10:15 a.m. on a theft report.

An employee at Cornerstone Contracting told deputies that when he came to work today, he discovered the Pepsi machine outside had been damaged and the money had been removed,

After reviewing security camera footage, it was discovered that at 1:24 a.m. a blue GM model passenger car entered the parking lot.

A white male got out of the car and went to the Pepsi machine. He then grabbed something from his vehicle. He punched the lock on the machine, unscrewed the mechanism to get the machine open and then forced the machine open.

He reached in and grabbed all the cash from inside it. He then got back in his vehicle and left.

It is unknown how much currency was stolen at this time.

The suspect appears to be a white male in his 20’s with light color or red hair and a goatee. The vehicle appears to be a blue Chevrolet Cavalier with spiral type hubcaps (not rims) with a regular passenger car plate.
