The Holidays can be a stressful time with preparing food and getting your house ready for entertaining. Here are a few tips to help make sure your meal goes off without a hitch:
• Bake your rolls ahead of time – Once you take them out of the oven, just cool, wrap in foil, and freeze. Let thaw overnight, reheat (wrapped) at 350° for 20 minutes and serve warm.
• How to tell your pecan pie is done without using a thermometer – If you take it out of the oven and the center jiggles, bake longer; or with back of spoon, press down gently on a pecan in center of pie, if it bounces back, it’s done. Remember, it’s very hard to overbake a pecan pie, so when in doubt, bake longer.
