INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Metro police have arrested a man following a fatal shooting on the city’s west side.
Officers responded to the 3800 block of Lafayette Road, at Babes Showgirls, investigating reports of a person shot. When they arrived, officers found Andree Magee, 24, with a gunshot wound to the head.
Medics pronounced Magee dead a short time later. Metro homicide detectives also responded.
Witnesses reported seeing a blue SUV leaving the scene after the shooting. Officers stopped a vehicle matching that description in the 3800 block of DePauw Boulevard and questioned two men. One man was released; the second, Traver Condon, 28, Modesto, Calif., was arrested on a preliminary murder charge.
IMPD Lt. Chris Bailey said it appears the shooting stemmed from a disturbance and the victim was shot from the passing vehicle.
