INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 22, 2014) – M-16 rifles, AK-47s, an Uzi—all were inside a trailer filled with firearms and ammunition when it was stolen on the far west side this weekend.

The theft happened between 8 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday at Profire Arms and Supply, 7341 Rockville Rd. According to an incident report from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the box trailer—a white 2014 Stealth Trailer—contained 29 guns, 20,000 rounds of ammo, suppressors and numerous firearm accessories.

The haul included three M-16 rifles, two AK-47s, a Beretta Auto Sear machine gun, five HK-MP5 submachine guns and an Uzi. Other stolen weapons included eight handguns, three shotguns and a pair of short-barreled rifles.

Sixteen of the stolen weapons were considered military grade, according to the report.

There were no signs that the trailer’s locks had been tampered with, police said, and the owner told investigators he had the only key. There were no obvious signs of tire drag marks, the report said.
