Hendricks County, IND. — One person is dead and three others are injured after a Jeep crossed the center line and hit a motorcycle head on.

The motorcycle was headed westbound and the Jeep was headed east on County Road 1000 South in Southern Hendricks County just before 6 p.m. on Saturday.

One person on the motorcycle was killed and another was seriously injured and flown to a nearby hospital.

The driver of the Jeep was also flown to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.

A second motorcycle was following the first motorcycle and the driver of that motorcycle laid his motorcycle down in order to avoid the crash.

The driver was not injured, but the passenger was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Police are not sure what caused the Jeep to cross the center line.

Identities of those involved are not being released at this time.
