CLAY COUNTY, FL (May 9, 2014) – Say hello to “Peggy” – a kitten who’s got a new lease on her nine lives thanks to some generous animal lovers.
She came into the Clay County Humane Society missing a paw, and veterinarians have no idea how it happened.
The humane society raised over $1,700 to pay for surgery to fix Peggy’s leg.
She recently had the 40-minute surgery, and now she’s on the mend.
According to the Clay County Humane Society, she is already up and meowing.
Her paw had to be fully removed at her wrist, but after a few weeks of recovery, they expect Peggy to have a happy, normal life.
