Man goes on Subway robbery spree after The Jared Diet fails

BIRMINGHAM, AL (November 4, 2014) – A man upset about ‘The Jared Diet’ not working is accused of going on a subway robbery spree!

According to the New York Post, Zachary Rapheal Torrance, 18, admitted to targeting four Subway restaurants in different Alabama cities, over four days.

When officers arrested him, he confessed to the crimes, blaming the failed diet for his actions.

“He told the detectives he had spent a sum of money with Subway, trying the sub diet — the Jared diet — and it hadn’t worked for him, and he felt like he should get his money back,” said Hueytown, Ala., police chief Chuck Hagler.

Indianapolis native Jared Fogle made the diet famous, which was consists of eating subway sandwiches every day.
