(April 15, 2016) – The “McDonald’s of the future” will have kiosks allowing you to customize your burger.
Oh, and there’s also a little feature called all-you-can-eat fries!
A franchise owner in St. Joseph, Mo., laid out plans for a new McDonald’s location that is thought to be one of the largest in the region, according to St. Joseph’s News-Press. Chris Habiger and hiw wife, Karri, own six locations. They recently closed one in order to prepare for the newest McDonald’s.
Kiosks will take orders from customers, but Habiger said they won’t replace actual employees. He planned to hire more than 80 employees in the coming months. The kiosks will let customers customize their hamburger or chicken sandwich orders, and the restaurant will offer a new feature: all-you-can-eat fries.
Desserts will also be customizable and the restaurant will offer tableside service.
But don’t worry about the biggest concern from customers: the play place. Habiger said the location will have a revamped play area that will include tabletop video games in addition to the traditional play equipment.
