Jury rules not guilty in New Castle child molestation case

NEW CASTLE, Ind. — A jury trail that wrapped up Wednesday found Rodney Boyd not guilty on all counts.

Indiana State Police arrested Boyd, who was 46 at he time, in August of 2016 for allegedly having inappropriate contact with a minor.

The victim in this case, now an adult, told investigators Boyd started having inappropriate contact with her when she was juvenile. She alleges that the behavior continued until she was an adult.

Boyd had been charged with child molesting, sexual misconduct with a minor and three counts of child molestation.
