FISHERS, Ind. (October 21, 2015)  Drivers beware, beginning Wednesday evening, construction workers in Fishers will shut down 116th Street at the railroad crossing between Lantern Road and Municipal Drive.

The closure will start around 8 p.m. Wednesday and last till about 5 a.m. Monday.  Officials say that the closure is needed to rehabilitate the railroad crossing and work on nearby crosswalks. Drivers have been moving around orange barrels for the last couple of months due to various construction projects  happening on 116th St., between Interstate 69 and the Fishers City Hall.

Drivers are encouraged to use the east/west alternate routes of 106th and 126th streets, along with the north/south alternate routes of Hague and Lantern Road.
