INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Sept. 10, 2015)– It’s being called a game changer when it comes to giving women their mojo back in the bedroom. The Mona Lisa Touch laser treatment rejuvenates women if they no longer enjoy intercourse due to menopause or breast cancer treatment. There’s one doctor in Indiana leading the way in this new technology.

“It was excruciatingly painful,” said breast cancer survivor, Lisa Elliot.

Lisa Elliot, 34, had no idea her hormone therapy drugs would fast forward her body to menopause symptoms. One of the most brutal side effects of the anti-estrogen medicine was vaginal atrophy which can lead to thinning of the vaginal wall and painful intercourse.

Indianapolis ObGyn, Dr. Michelle Jones-Singer says the Mona Lisa Touch laser treatment is the key to reversing post menopausal symptoms.

“So what this does is it rejuvenates the vaginal lining by increasing the collagen, the blood vessels, the connective tissue and makes a woman able to have intercourse after menopause,” said Dr. Jones-Singer.

It’s a painless, five-minute process that takes three treatments to complete.

“It is a game changer for women who have gone years, no I didn’t mistakenly say years–they’ve gone years without being able to have intercourse or enjoy intercourse,” she said.

Lisa says she noticed a difference right away and feels whole again.

“I feel amazing. I feel like I did before the atrophy, before the tamoxifen, before all of the bad stuff. I know I can be sexually active with somebody I care about and I don’t have to worry about being broken.”

Dr. Jones-Singer is the only doctor in Indiana using this technology. Since July, she’s performed this procedure on 30 women in the area. The treatments costs about $3,000 and is not covered by insurance.
