(Feb. 12, 2016)– In the 1980s, it was video dating. In the 1990s, online dating came to the forefront. Now we have apps like Tinder and Bumble so people can connect using their cell phones.

Some people are even starting relationships in virtual reality with virtual people. With the emergence of VR, some are wondering if humans will still need to interact face to face.

Scientists say it won’t really work like that, and people will still need real, human interaction.
