One arrested following Randolph County bank robbery

RANDOLPH CO., IND. — Police track down an alleged bank robber Thursday.

Deputies from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department, after receiving several tips from the public, arrested Mark Anthony Jones, 44 of Richmond, in connection to a bank robbery in Lynn, Ind.

According to law enforcement, the suspect walked into the U.S. Bank Wednesday morning, passed the teller a note demanding money, then took off with the cash.

Deputies located him at the Days Inn Hotel in Richmond where he was taken into custody.

Jones is currently housed at the Randolph County Jail on preliminary charges of robbery and theft. He is being held on a $25,000 dollar bond.
