INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Police are investigating after a man was found dead on the near east side early Sunday morning.

The discovery was made when IMPD officers were called to investigate a burglary in progress in the 2300 block of Hoyt Ave. just after 4 a.m. They located the man lying near a driveway.

Shortly after police arrived, one man was seen running out of the house. Officers chased him down and put him in custody for questioning. Six other people were also brought downtown for questioning.

Police believe this was an isolated incident.
