HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. (January 31, 2016) – All lanes of eastbound I-70 were closed near SR 109 for a few hours Sunday due to a fatal crash. Emergency crews were called to the scene of a single vehicle rollover accident at the 113 mile marker around 11:40 a.m.

There were two occupants in the vehicle, both of which were ejected. Rebecca Daniel, 47, of Dayton, Ohio, was pronounced dead at the scene. Roderick Daniel, 25, was flown by medical helicopter to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis; he is currently in critical condition.

The vehicle ran off the road to the right side and rolled several times.

The crash scene has been cleared and all lanes of I-70 are now open. There is no further information available at this time.
