INDIANAPOLIS (Jan. 21, 2015) – Get ready Giordano’s fans. The popular pizzeria chain has scheduled a Feb. 3 grand opening at 4110 E. 82nd St. in Rivers Edge shopping center, according to our media partners at the Indianapolis Star.
Giordano’s is going up in the former Sangiovese Italian restaurant, which is moving into the Ironworks residential/retail complex a few blocks away. Sangiovese is scheduled to reopen there in February.
Back in 2012, fans started the Facebook page “Bring Giordano’s Pizza to Indianapolis.” They longed for Giordano’s deep-dish, Chicago-style pizzas. The chain is also known for its Stuffed Pizza. One gets filled with BBQ-basted chicken, bacon & balsamic onions. Traditional pepperoni and cheese versions are on the menu, too.
Thinner pizzas, salads, sandwiches and Italian entrees, including fettuccine Alfredo with roasted shrimp and broccoli, are also on the menu.
Giordano’s, founded in 1974, is often named Chicago’s best pizzeria.
Look for the Indy restaurant’s sign a few doors away from Nordstrom Rack and Harry & Izzy’s. Check the full menu at www.giordanos.com.
