Overnight house fire causes thousands of dollars in damages to Indy home

INDIANAPOLIS (March 16, 2015) – Firefighters responded to a house fire early Monday morning on Indy’s near northeast side near East 28th Street and Adams Street.

The fire occurred in a vacant/unoccupied house that was in the middle of being refurbished. Firefighters say the fire started in the front of the home, and estimate it caused at least $25,000 in damages. No injuries were reported.

At this time, the cause of the fire is unknown.
