Indianapolis police search for pair of armed bank robbers

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (September 20, 2015)–Metropolitan Police are looking for a pair of armed bank robbers who held up a northwest side bank on Saturday.

Shortly after 12:30 p.m. police were called to the Indiana Members Credit Union in the 8900 block of Wesleyan Road on a report of a bank robbery.

Witnesses told police two black males, wearing all black clothing, entered the bank armed with handguns.

Both suspects demanded money from bank tellers and then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police released the following description of the suspects;

Suspect #1 wore a black hat, long dark hair, sunglasses,all black clothing, 5’8″ – 5’10”, armed.

Suspect #2 had long hair (dreads), all black clothing, 5’8″ – 5’10”, armed.

Police ask anyone with information about these suspects to call the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force at (317) 595-4000 or Crime Stoppers of Indiana at (317) 262-TIPS (8477).
