FISHERS, Ind. (May 17, 2014) — A Fishers woman is in critical condition at Methodist Hospital after being hit by a school bus while preparing to run in the Geist Half Marathon.

Erin Harris, 34, was hit by the bus carrying race participants near the 11700 block of Olio Road just after 6 AM. Witnesses say Harris was running northbound in the cross walk when she was struck. The driver of the bus has been identified as 69-year-old David McCollum of Indianapolis.

Fishers Police are still investigating the accident, but as of now it does not appear drugs or alcohol were involved.
