INDIANAPOLIS — A pedestrian has been struck and killed on Indy’s northwest side.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred near the intersection of W. 38th Street and Moller Road around 6:35 p.m.

Police confirmed an adult male had been struck and killed. The driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police added.

The driver has been transported to a local hospital with unspecified injures. She will undergo a blood-draw which is standard procedure in fatal accidents.

At this time investigators have not released any further details as the case is still under investigation.
