INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a deadly train collision involving a pedestrian on the east side.

Police say a person was struck by a train on the tracks near Massachusetts Avenue and E. 30th Street around 2:30 a.m.

The pedestrian was declared deceased by on-scene medics.

IMPD is investigating the collision.
