INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana (Jan. 25, 2014) — The temperatures may have been below freezing on Saturday, but that didn’t stop hundreds of people from taking a plunge for a good cause on Butler’s campus.

During the polar plunge, participants jumped into a pool filled with cold water to raise money for Special Olympic athletes.

Some of the plungers wore costumes to add a little flavor to their dip.

290 people took the plunge and raised almost $22,000.
