Police: One of two reported east side shootings ruled an accident

Two shootings have been reported on the city’s east side.

Shots reportedly rang out in the 6100 block of East 42nd Street around 7 p.m. Thursday.

A second shooting was reported shortly thereafter near Priscilla Avenue. Police have confirmed to Fox59 News that a man accidentally shot himself in the leg in that incident.

Police said they have not been able to find a victim from the first shooting. No other information has been released.

Over the last week, 12 shootings have been confirmed across Indianapolis.
