Police arrested William Ballard on January 18 for allegedly killing James Greenberg, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
INDIANAPOLIS — A person was shot and killed Sunday evening on the north side of Indianapolis, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
The shooting happened just after 5:40 p.m. in the 2000 block of West Coil Street. That scene is near W. 64th Street and North Michigan Road.
Police said the victim was shot outside of the residence and pronounced deceased on the scene.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office identified the victim Monday as 35-year-old James Greenberg.
No one is in custody at this time, and authorities said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
