Man critical after east side shooting

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– Police say a person was shot Thursday evening on the east side.

Officers were called to East 28th Street and Station Street around 8:30 p.m. on a reports of shots fired in the area.

When they arrived on scene, officers say they found a white SUV that had crashed into the back of a parked truck. Officers found a man in the driver’s seat suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper torso area.

The victim was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.

Officers have not released any suspect information at this point.
