Original story:

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – There’s been an arrest made in the shooting death of a 13-year-old killed while trying to break up a fight.

The family of Harry Taliefer tells FOX59 a woman named Shantell Taylor turned herself in with her attorney Saturday. Police officials say the 33-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder and booked into the Marion County Jail.

Last week, police found Harry Taliefer shot and killed following a large fight on the east side. They say dozens of people were fighting in the street.

Family says Taliefer was trying to break up the fight and it cost him his life. Some of his family did not know Taylor but heard she is a mom.

"It did give us some sense of closure knowing someone was in custody, someone that will be held responsible for his death," said Jay Thomas, his uncle.

Other family members said this is not closure yet because they still have a lot of questions. They do not understand how a 33-year-old could be involved in a teen's death.

"What was going on with this person? What was her role? What was she thinking?" said Cory Carey, family member.

The family has also set up a GoFundme account to help with funeral expenses. It can be found here.
