Police believe driver killed on east side suffered medical condition prior to crash

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (December 9, 2015) –One man was killed and five others were injured after two cars collided, sending one into the side of a building.

Witnesses told firefighters that the man driving the Silver Taurus was headed north on Chester Avenue and may have suffered a medical condition prior to the crash. He was in the car with a 39-year-old female and a 3-year-old child.

After hitting a Gold Toyota and pushing it into a nearby parking lot, the man’s car careened into the side of a building. An adult female was driving two children, ages three and five, when her van was hit.

The driver of the Taurus was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.

The five other people involved in the crash were transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
