Police chase ends on Interstate overpass

FISHERS, IND. — A multiple county police chase ends on an I-69 overpass with the driver being taken into custody.

Police from multiple agencies chased a vehicle across Madison and Hamilton Counties early Friday morning.chase 1

The chase began near Lapel, Ind. when an officer attempted to stop a blue pickup truck for a traffic violation.

The driver took off, leading police on a pursuit into Hamilton County on I-69 at a high rate of speed.

He exited I-69 at 96th Street where INDOT traffic cameras captured a portion of the pursuit.

The chase continued west on 106th Street into the Brooks Chase Subdivision before heading north on Brooks School Road.

Police used stop sticks to bring the chase to an end near 116th Street and Brooks School Road. The vehicle finally stopped on the Brooks School Road overpass over I-69.

The driver of the vehicle could be see exiting the vehicle with his hands in the air on an INDOT traffic camera.
