New evidence has surfaced following the rape of an elderly Anderson woman.
Police say they have several people of interest in the case. They’ve followed up on several leads and say they have new evidence, but won’t reveal what it is.
Last month, a 93-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in her home. She was taken to the hospital after the attack and was released.
Police said they believe the person who broke into her home just after midnight July 16 went with the sole purpose of sexually assaulting her.
