ELWOOD, Ind.—An Elwood couple was arrested Thursday evening after police said a marijuana grow operation was found inside their house.
Stephen Stookey, 70, and Marilyn Stookey, 69, were charged with possession with intent to deal marijuana, possession of marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance.
Authorities responded to the couple’s home in the 11000 block of N. 33rd Street after obtaining a search warrant to investigate possible drug activity. During a search of the residence, police said 111 marijuana plants, 70 clone plants, four mother plans and six 1-pound bags of processed marijuana were found.
The Stookeys were transported to the Madison County Detntion Center, where they are each being held on a $10,000 bond.
