INDIANAPOLIS (Oct. 20, 2014) – Police have identified a man fatally shot during a robbery at a GameStop this weekend and charged his two accomplices.

Terrell Lucas, 22, died after being shot during a robbery at a GameStop store on South East Street Saturday night. Two others–23-year-old Walter Fells and 21-year-old Jalil Hannah–were taken into custody following the incident. They’re charged with murder, robbery and criminal confinement. All three men are from Chicago, police said.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, Lucas burst out the backdoor and started waving a gun. Police told him to put down the firearm, but he didn’t comply. He was hit in the upper torso and taken to Eskenazi Hospital, where he later died.

Officers were alerted to the robbery after a witness reported seeing three men putting on masks and called police. Officers who were already in the area on patrol arrived just after the robbery started.

IMPD has not released the names of officers who responded to the robbery. Those involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative duty per departmental policy.
