Police identify suspect killed in Daviess Co. shootout

Police have identified a suspect killed in a shootout in Daviess County.

Officials were called to a robbery in progress at the Black Oak Armaments Gun Shop shortly after 1:35 p.m. Monday.

When they arrived, 60-year-old James Jones began shooting at them, police said.

Trooper Jarrod Lents was hit several times. He was released from Deconess Hospital Monday evening.
