WEST LAFAYETTE – Apparent racially-biased remarks reported at Purdue were part of a classroom exercise, police determined.

Police investigated after receiving the report on Friday. Someone found the words “white supremacy” on a mirror inside the Black Cultural Center. The writing was not on the mirror directly but had been transferred through an adhesive.

After interviewing several people, police discovered that an instructor conducting an interactive seminar wrote on a large sticky note that had been attached to the mirror during a discussion.
