INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – IMPD detectives released the identity of a woman who was found dead on the city’s east side this morning.
The victim has been identified as Angela Wright, 40, of Indianapolis. The Marion County Coroner’s Office says Wright died from a gunshot wound. Her death has been ruled a homicide, and detectives are continuing to seek out more information about this incident.
Officers say they found Wright in the 3000 block of Nowland Avenue shortly before 5:30 a.m. She was unresponsive in the street and had suffered head trauma, investigators said. EMS personnel responded and pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
