Police investigating after man dies in northwest side crash

Update (November 30, 2016) — The victim was identified as Kam’ron Redding, 18. He was a student at Pike High School.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– Police say at least one person is dead after a crash Tuesday on the city’s northwest side.

Officers were called to the 5900 block of Lafayette Road, south of West 62nd Street, just before 12:30 p.m.

Only one vehicle was involved in the crash. A man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s name has not been released. Investigators are on scene and drivers should avoid the area if possible until about 4:30 p.m.
