Suspect’s vehicle located after fatal hit-and-run on near northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A man died after being found lying in the road early Monday morning following a hit-and-run crash.

It happened in the 3200 block of W. Kessler Blvd. N. Drive. Police dispatchers received a 911 call from a passerby about a man lying in the street in the northbound lanes. Police say the victim is in his mid-60s.

He was transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital in critical condition and later died from his injuries.

Police say parts of the suspect’s car were found at the crash scene. Later in the day, the suspect’s vehicle was located. Investigators are interviewing two persons of interest.
