INDIANAPOLIS (November 27, 2015) – IMPD officers are investigating an early morning shooting on Indy’s northwest side that left two victims in the hospital.
Police were dispatched to a report of multiple shots fired near JD’s Pub in the 6900 block of Eagle Highlands Way around 2:45 a.m. When they arrived on scene, they found one person shot.
According to police, the victim was shot in the back and transported to Methodist Hospital.
A few minutes later, another victim of this shooting was a walk-in patient at Community Westview Hospital. Police confirm that these two victims are connected to the same shooting.
Aggravated Assault detectives on the scene say the shooting took place in the parking lot outside of JD’s Pub. They believe a fist fight turned into a gun fight, and several cars were hit by bullets. Officers also say they have found lots of shell casings coming from several different caliber guns.
Officers say one victim is in good condition and the other is in critical but stable condition.
