INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Police are investigating after a man was shot in his face and one of his legs on the city’s northeast side Tuesday evening.

Officers say the 28-year-old man was sitting in his car near 38th Street and Post Road when someone walked up to his car and began firing shots around 7:30 p.m.

The victim reportedly drove his car to a nearby Walgreens parking lot to get help.

When officers approached him, they say he was conscious and alert, but he’s listed in critical condition due to the shot to the face.

Officers don’t have a suspect description, but they believe the shooting was an isolated incident and the public is not in danger.
