INDIANAPOLIS (June 30, 2015) — Police are investigating after a person was shot and killed on the near east side Tuesday morning.
The shooting was reported just before 6:20 a.m. in the 1300 block of North Ewing Street. Police arrived to find a man shot in the neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Three people and a baby were inside the home when it happened, police said.
IMPD homicide investigators are canvassing the area to find potential witnesses and evidence. They said the shooting didn’t appear to be random, adding that the case remains under investigation.
Police identified the victim as Harold Mullen, 57, of Indianapolis, following an autopsy.
