Police investigating prospective Indiana Eleven player’s murder

Police are requesting the public’s help identifying the person who murdered a would-be soccer athlete.

Felix Achoch, 21, was in town to try out for the Indiana Eleven when he fatally attacked.

Police said Achoch was involved in an altercation inside Club Vision on July 22. The fight spilled out into the parking lot. Several unidentified suspects attacked Achoch, police said.

Achoch was taken to Methodist Hospital following the fight. He died from his injuries on July 30.

Felix Achoch was a student from Kenya, attending IvyTech.  An accomplished soccer defenseman, he had made the first cut for the Indy Eleven and was to have his final tryout.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have video or observed this incident to call the IMPD Homicide Unit at 317.327.3375 or Crime Stoppers of Indiana at 317.262.TIPS (8477).  Callers may also text “INDYCS” plus tip information to 274627 (CRIMES).
