Police: Lafayette man stabbed while taking a walk

LAFAYETTE, Ind.—The Lafayette Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred early Tuesday morning.

The victim, 32-year-old Anthony Springs, told police he was walking by a pond near an apartment complex located in the 3300 block of Pebble Court around 1:20 a.m., when an unknown assailant approached him and stabbed him in the abdomen.

Springs was transported to Saint Elizabeth East, where he received medical treatment. Police said he did not sustain life threatening injuries.
