INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 15, 2016) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying two men wanted for theft and fraud, after conning an elderly woman out of thousands of dollars.

Police say the men tricked the woman into writing a $3,500 check for supposed roof repairs last December. They claimed to be with the Statewide Construction Roof Manufacturing Company.

We’re told a woman was with the men when they cashed the original check.

One of the men also stole credit cards from the woman’s home and used one at the Circle K on East 21st Street and North Shadeland Avenue.

If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477(TIPS) or 800-222-8477(TIPS).
