Original Story:

MUNCIE, Ind. – A Delaware County woman is accused of stealing more than $3,000 in jewelry from a Meijer store and trying to sell it on Facebook.

Police arrested Tiffany Strean, 30, last week. According to the Muncie Police Department, Strean took jewelry from a display case at Meijer. Surveillance video showed her leaving the store with the stolen merchandise, police said.

Days after the theft, police said Strean posted several items up for sale on “Muncie Garage Sale” page on Facebook and listed herself as the seller. The jewelry was still in its original packaging, police said.

In the early morning hours of Nov. 25, police initiated a traffic stop outside Walmart. Strean was in possession of 19 white pills that were determined to be a legend drug, police said. She couldn’t provide any proof of having a prescription for them.

Police later questioned her about the jewelry theft at Meijer. She initially told police she didn’t know anything about it and then said she was selling the jewelry for a friend.

Strean was charged with possession of a legend drug and theft/possession of stolen property.
