MUNCIE – Police say a Muncie woman’s blood alcohol level was six times the legal limit following an arrest Tuesday.

Police said Kim Sandridge drove through a yard and refused to stop for officers. According to court documents, she hit a parked car and nearly slammed head-on into a police cruiser while driving through the south side of Muncie.

The car finally came to a stop at Eighth and Blaine streets, where officers had to shut the car off for her. Police said Sandridge had a bottle in her hand and couldn’t stand up under her own power. She was also “foaming at the mouth,” according to police.

Her blood alcohol tested at 0.508—more than six times Indiana’s legal limit of 0.08. Because of the amount of alcohol in her system, Sandridge had to be monitored over night before being taken to the Delaware County Jail.
