Police are requesting the public’s help locating a suspected wanted in connection with at least one robbery and one attempted robbery.
Police were called to the 2000 block of West Washington Street on reports of a robbery Feb. 21. A man in his early twenties passed a note to the clerk. It said, “this a robbery, I have a gun.” The note also listed a specific narcotic drug the man wanted.

He took off after the clerk complied with his request.

Police were called to the 5600 block of Georgetown Road for a similar crime on March 2. The man followed the same pattern but left without taking the bag full of narcotics.

Officials believe the same man perpetrated the crimes.

He is described as 5-feet-7-inches to 5-feet-8-inches, weighing between 120-150 lbs. He has a light complexion and a small goatee.

Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the suspected is urged to call IMPD at 317.327.3733 or Crime Stoppers at 317.262.8477 (TIPS).  Callers can also text “INDYCS” plus tip information to 274627 (CRIMES).
