FISHERS, Ind. — Police are investigating after Star Financial Bank was robbed Tuesday afternoon.

The Fishers Police Department said officers are responding to Star Financial Bank on East 96th Street by Lantern Road after a report of an armed robbery. While en route, officers learned the suspect fled the area in a vehicle south into Indianapolis.

An initial investigation by detectives determined a white man in his 20s wearing a disguise entered the bank before approaching an employee. The man displayed a handgun and demanded cash.

While there is no known threat to the Fishers community, the suspect remains at large. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Arndt at 317-595-3300.
