Police release images from Zionsville bank robbery

ZIONSVILLE – Police say two men robbed a Zionsville bank Monday morning and were still looking for the two robbers.

Investigators released surveillance images of the robbers.

According to police, the men went into the Key Bank at 11622 N. Michigan Rd. around 11:15 a.m. and demanded money. The robbers were carrying guns and wearing ski masks and bandanas. They also had on black hoodies.

Police said the men left on foot. They discovered a stolen Ford Taurus a short distance away.

Police said nearby daycares and schools were on lockdown while they searched for the men, who are considered armed and dangerous. They’re believed to be on foot, according to police. The precautionary lockdowns were lifted around 1 p.m.

Zionsville police, the Boone County Sheriff’s Department and Carmel police are investigating.
