BROWN COUNTY – A 32-year-old woman faces charges after police say she had sex with a 15-year-old. Their relationship was discovered after the teen’s mother’s boyfriend reported seeing the two of them together in bed.
Amber Renea Williamson faces two felony counts of sexual misconduct with a minor and a misdemeanor count of invasion of privacy, according to court documents.
The investigation began in September, when police received a tip that Williamson and the teen had an inappropriate relationship. The woman had moved into the family’s garage because “she had nowhere else to go,” according to court documents. The teen’s mother had known Williamson for five years and they had children who were friends.
When initially asked about his relationship with Williamson, the teen said it had been “blown out of proportion.” Investigators then found a letter Williamson had written in which she said “I love you forever!” and “I want you & only you in my life & heart.” Investigators also discovered questionable messages on the teen’s phone.
The teen later told police that he and Williamson had engaged in sex acts on multiple occasions and said one of those nights may have been when his mother’s boyfriend saw him and Williamson in bed together. The teen said their sexual encounters happened at Williamson’s apartment where she previously lived and inside the family’s garage where she had been staying. They first had sex in July, the teen said.
Williamson sent the teen a message on Facebook after police served her with a protective order prohibiting her from seeing him, court documents said.
She was booked at the Brown County Jail and later released on $10,000 bond.
